So having read through your summation (and subsequent replies), I have a disagreement with one point in particular. I disagree with the talent part.

As a former member of multiple dance groups (also a dance coordinator of one), I vehemently disagree if you think dancing is easier than singing or requires less of a talent. Globally, we have schools that cost an arm and a leg that specifically scouts for talented dancers. It's like someone saying you're less talented because you play the keyboard and they drum better than you. In that case, their bias towards drumming makes them see it as the better talent.

If you take a survey, almost everyone here were equally as interested in the dance routines as the songs themselves. If you delve into dance choreography, you'll understand it's way harder than (and requires more work and talent) than actually singing. We've heard of people coming up with songs, mixing and even recording in a day. How many dance choreographies have you heard of being perfected in a day. Michael Jackson was as famous for his dance moves, as his voice. He spent a significant portion of his time choreographing the dance routines than singing. That should tell you something. We have Usher, Chris Brown...they're known for the same. Dancing is beyond moving your body, it involves a level of synchronicity and coordination that if you lack that talent, it shows. If you re-watch their dance videos as a dancer, you'd see the difference between the two.

There's a reason why they focused heavily on their music videos back then. The same reason why up until now the "talented singer" still can't hack it on his own. Their act complements each other and they need both acts (song and dance) from both talents. One isn't more talented than the other. Also Peter can sing better than Paul can dance 😂 so you see how this becomes a faulty assumption on your part.

Was Paul the better singer? Yes. Was he more talented? No
