Whether he stays at that level remains to be seen, but for the moment any criticism is just the noise of internet "experts."

But the claim was that ND was more dominant, which is silly. Both started slow then pulled away. IU gained far more yards and won by a much bigger margin. A wash at best.

@angel_blanco_a @amantes_cycling Two times Wout absolutely saved a GC strictly through his own power: S8, 2022 Paris-Nice and S5, 2022 TDF. Pulled Rog when Rog was completely cooked, and pulled Jonas back within range of Pog after the disaster with the bikes. No other lead rider does that.

@CFBwSam Indiana's defense does not look great, or even ok - little pressure on the QB, runners and receivers finding space, multiple multi-play drives. Normally it's the offense that takes a while to get going, but the defense looks slow and out of position for the moment.

He has gifted races (Laporte, GW 2023), helped win major titles for Rog (PN 2022), Jonas (TDF 2022, 23) and Yates (Vuelta 2024), and too much else to cover.

No rider of his caliber has done as much for others, and its not close.

The S21 versions are a unique way for riders and fans to celebrate a long 3 weeks, and as we routinely see, huge crowds show up to watch and iconic finishes often follow. Only a few whiny types on social media are "crying."

@CoreyWriting There is an entire world of scholarship and "best practices" based on the premise that differences in gender, racial, and other group outcomes are due to systemic bias. This premise, and the remedies that go with it, are offered as scientific truth based on academic research.

@CoreyWriting But we already have "race science." As a high school teacher, I had to go through endless PD on latent bias, microaggression, etc. Sensitivity training, multiculturalism, and other remedies were required in response to persistent inequalities in group outcomes. 1/

@TheTuftyClub2 @cyclingontnt 1. "Anglo" is a ludicrous word choice.
2. There is no anti-Rog sentiment. The Fred Wright incident meant little at the time, and nothing at all now.
3. Matt Stephens is a smart and considerate interviewer. If you can't take him, perhaps cycling is not for you.
