Oz is an amazing place, love it, we’re lucky to be here.

Wanting to be better is an important part of any culture, something we must protect and maintain.

Part of that is inclusivity, equality, and justice.

We have a long way to go there, and tomorrow is an annual reminder.

Don’t buy into the culture wars trying to make you angry about it.

It’s perfectly cool to celebrate what we have while acknowledging we have to do better, especially about our history.

Acknowledging issues doesn’t divide, media and politicians who use legitimate issues to create hate and pit groups against each other, do.

First Nations are an easy target, and they hit them again, and again, and again instead of just extending the basic courtesy of dignity, humanity and understanding.

It’d be great if everyone could celebrate this fantastic place equally. Tomorrow, that’s not the case for many, and for good reason.

Pretty simple.

Enjoy your day, and your public holiday and keep this in mind.

We can, and should do much better, for everyone.
