Friends- trying to build in the open. Leaving breadcrumbs. Filmed in-home ad hoc studio MAT Video 1.
PrimeSense Magic Memory Mats: turning real-world spaces into sponsored, measurable learning systems for families.
Add all the digits. If the result is odd, and by either adding or subtracting 1, you get a number divisible by three- the number is potentially prime.
4294967297 adds to 59. Add 1, 60 is divisible by 3.
This number is a 6k-1 prime candidate. Call these primes yellow. Call all 6k+1 green primes.
All composites in class 6k-1 are a yellow x green.
641 is 6k-1 (yellow) where k=107.
6700417 digits add to 25 (6k+1) or green where k=1116736.
He only needed to test 214 6k-1 or 6k+1 candidates to find the low yellow or green prime factor.
He loved number patterns. 214 tests is work but not enormous f you know these tricks.
@PhonicsMom@LizStepan@anenglishteachr Thank you so much. Been a long journey to just to get to the beginning of another long journey.
But this one starts with optimism. The first was running on the fumes of a tired hope.
@LizStepan@anenglishteachr She is watching The French Open and the dude hit a hard serve and she just said "that looked like it was on the line."
I am without words.
@LizStepan@anenglishteachr I told her when we get used to it, we will see if she can count the number of loops (typically 4). I want her to like to before we stretch.
She told me this morning "this made me cry." Which is rich in self awareness in a way I haven't seen. Recovering reading will be gravy.
You are singing my song. Her ears and prior musical training were her main anchors to reality.
A neuroscience friend showed me how he helped a patient recover significant gate and quality of life four years after a traumatic brain injury by retraining visual memory and pattern recognition with fours hours of daily concentration (yes that simple game).
Pam could not focus to do that. The music video with pictures of our life drew her gaze quickly.
Yeah.
I've been panning for dust and may have found a huge nugget🔑.
Oddly, using PrimeSense for math and music is the opposite of what you might think. Because the expert pattern itself is doing a lot of the work, teaching with it feels a little too easy at first. The real issue in that tech is where- and if it fits- in someone's toolbox.
I'm not sure how or where it might fit your mission- but I am grateful for all the tries.
PrimeSense is specialized like a pipe wrench. It makes certain hard tasks- easier, but it ain't the whole toolbox.
I am so grateful for the hard task it did for Pam❤️. 🌥️🕘
Liz- I want to find a way to help my wife reacquire reading skills. A person with dementia or cognitive decline is just another mind needing help that largely works in quirky ways as the kids you guys are helping.
You guys are domain experts. I am not. I am an expert in Pam and perceptual learning (training elite speed pattern recognition and skilled execution).
Seeing all your posts gave me much more hope than you can know. When I cued the video (20 minute morning loop) (day 6) Pam said "Oh, I LOVE this." I am pinching myself to make sure this isn't a dream.
We are having coherent coffee conversations every morning again for the first time in four years. Hard work sometimes yields unseen blessings. I think I found a big one.
I just used it to restore anticipatory language to my wife who has dementia. I am freaking out how well it worked. We have been preparing to fight her memory loss for 37 years. Got smashed last three years but our hard work may have gained a big blessing.
It was always memory tech. It was always about her.
I think I stumbled a new neuro mechanical explanation for aphasia that explains why we were able to disappear it so fast five days ago. Was gonna post an article today but ran out of gas :)
