I am pleased to announce that I have been inducted into the @Cornell University chapter of the prestigious Edward Alexander Bouchet Honor Society! For those who aren't familiar with this society here's a synopsis:
Shoutout to the @NSF and @HHMINEWS for awarding me the Graduate Research Fellowship and Gilliam Fellowship, respectively. Their generous funding ensures that I am well taken care of financially so that I can focus on what really matters, finding a cure!
This work was also made possible by the wonderful patients who literally gave a piece of themselves for a greater cause (#FibroFighters) and @FibroFoundation for their generous funding.
From our work, we have robust evidence of FLC dependency on several proteins, metabolites, and metabolic pathways. Check out the full-length article (above) to learn more! A synopsis of the work was published in @CornellNews.

Gaining a thorough understanding of metabolism in FLC (what nutrients are taken up by the cancer and how it utilizes those nutrients) had yet to be accomplished.
Exciting work from @DonLongJ and @PraveenSethup combining proteomics and metabolomics to explore protein-metabolite links and shed light on metabolic rewiring in the rare cancer, fibrolamellar carcinoma

First saw this study and connected with @DonLongJ at the Keystone Metabolism poster session 3 years ago-it's been a pleasure collaborating on this elegant research. Learnt a lot, and there's more to explore!
