It’s expected that, as a direct result of mass migration, the population of Australia will reach 30 million by 2031. The Labor Government have got no intention of moving the needle on the issue. Only this week, Albo was claiming that net migration of a quarter of a million every year is a good level, and the numbers in the recent budget were predicated on mass migration continuing long into the future. The Coalition parties are little better on this. It’s a bit rich seeing Liberal MPs claiming they stand for controlled migration when their recent record was one of out-of-control mass migration.
More and more voters are rightly connecting mass migration with changes in their communities, particularly the direct impact on housing affordability that has been proven by a number of studies.
