@2ndChancePoints Fair enough, I think there are enough mid-tier power teams in the dance and would welcome more variety of schools, but I get not everyone agrees
@2ndChancePoints But they get the financial benefits of being in said superconferences no? Not to go all "that's what the money's for" but if you are losing a lot of league games you had your opportunities
@SkypeSpringham@TNOQuoProQuid Both of those things play out in the current system, and given that the general is a single election I don't see why it wouldn't make sense to truncate the primaries
@MarkEll75794856@MattNorlander Sure but those 6 games are part of the whole story so why would you exclude them? Usually the only meaningful non-con after Christmas. And the team that does it typically had a good year already.
@BudElliott3@acltear7 Mad respect for the response, but I don't get expanding to 12 in the first place if it doesn't reward divisional winners across the sport. If anything the trends will get worse if fewer schools have the carrot of a rewarding championship. Other sports eat the first round blowouts
@SpecialPuppy1@EBoKnowss In no other college post season does it matter. None of those 5 would get in as a wild card, but that's not the point. You have 130+ teams and a majority of games are preset conference games. If anything there should be more conference champs.
@BizzlePep Prisoners dilemma where if you make "B" normal you will incentivize better learning but if you're the only school doing it you will have worse outplacement
