@Win98Tech Context? the versions of FF5 and 6 that were on steam were downright awful, and if they're replacing them with the new pixel based remasters that's a win in my book. You sure you're not mistaking the old ports that were on steam that looked like garbage for the new ones?

@primorbius @NoMoreHeroess @imESAM Shoto isn't short for Shotokan, it's short for Shoto-clone. Or movesets of the Shotokan fighters established in the very first complex vs fighting game Street Fighter. By calling someone a Shoto you are calling them a Ryu echo fighter essentially.

@DragoATX But he doesn't have auto turn around in Smash, the trailers right there with his back to his opponent in several points. Yes his back step still has him facing his opponent but that's also in tekken and we have no context for it, him having auto-turnaround is just an assumption

@DragoATX @LiquidHbox So from this we establish, Kazuya does not auto turn , does not have similar inputs to ryu, and does not have similar tools or game plan to Ryu, therefor the only thing they have in common is the genre of game they come from. Ergo Cloud and Pikachu are the same kind of character.

@DragoATX @LiquidHbox With Tekken you can bunny hop over your opponent whack the punch button and have your character smack them with their elbow or spin back slap someone.
