@BillAckman@SecYellen @firstrepublic I liked the 2008 banking crisis better because we didn’t have to witness rich out of touch VC’s live tweeting to the the Fed to bail out the broken financial system. I preferred watching the movie in 5 years later.
I don’t think Twitter will have their attention diverted so easily. Particularly annoyed by @balajis attempt to pay Bitcoin to create anger with the fed. He doesn’t understand he’s part of the power hierarchy problem!
The 2008 banking crisis made people lose faith in government and political institutions, but I think the most recent one is making me lose faith in prominent Twitter VC’s. They are quick to blame everything on the government… @Jason@balajis@BillAckman@DavidSacks
while simultaneously begging for government action for their benefit. Very similar to Donald Trump’s style. Now they’re attempting to create reignite against the fed because many have seen their true intentions for the first time.
@Jason@SecYellen@FaceTheNation It’s worrying that you were advocating for a full on national bank-run while the government figured this out. It’s also clear you wouldn’t have the same view if the bank didn’t directly effect you or your industry. Thank god the adults in the room calmed you down.
@hany@Jason a significant amount USDC cash reserves were on it, not to mention the various crypto forms that banked there… I’m a crypto believer, but this might be bad for crypto.
@xlr8harder Take a look at @bittensor_ they are building a true Open AI Model. It’s a proof of work system where the “work” is training a your node of a huge neural network. I know crypto is filled with scams, but this is legit and it’s the coolest new idea in crypto since smart contracts.
@nickcammarata@tszzl Here’s another gem. One of the hosts crying after the crypto collapse with the ads still running. I’m still looking crypto technology and believe in it, but these two are clearly in a crypto social media bubble. https://t.co/U1fwPxWpJ8 .
@AdamasNemesis @EvilVizier @RokoMijic It is almost guaranteed. Throughout history we have found better material for compute, and we will continue to because of the vast economic incentives. Quantum computing or Carbon nanotubes are a couple candidates.
@benjamincowen I think it’s between ETH and DOT. Polkadot can have single purpose chains that work together on top of it in a way Ethereum can’t. Bonus answer: BitTensor. A network that incentivizes distributed intelligence will be worth a lot one day.
