Did I miss the jokes? David Eby is amused when we ask about his inaction on Metro Vancouver. Then he chuckles in front of Save-on-Foods about BC billionaire philanthropist owner Jimmy Pattison. 🤷♀️ @jarmstrongbc
Reason #312 to not join the EU. Germany is 24% of EU’s GDP and is in serious decline in large part due to the explosion in energy prices thanks to climate policy
Albertans are the best neighbours anyone could hope for. So I struggle to understand why anyone would do this.
If our legislation passes this fall, police and the courts will have the tools to go after the people who decide to do this.
Hey, elbows-up crowd... how are those elbows doing?
Because while you were all racing to see who could get theirs up the fastest and highest, Mark Carney was promising "Canada Strong," "Buy Canadian," especially Canadian steel, and that we were going to be our own best customer.
Well, the big $33-billion LNG Canada expansion he announced is moving ahead... and major modules are going to be fabricated in China.
China.
Apparently "elbows up" only applied when the foreign country was America.
We tried to warn you. But you were so busy waving flags and kicking American booze out of your carts that you voted for the guy who told you exactly what you needed to hear to vote for him.
So I have one question:
How many times does what Carney promises you, have to collide with what Carney actually does before you stop rewarding the Liberal Party for telling you one thing and delivering another?

@Dave_Eby Ya sure Dave but we have a choice where we buy gas and groceries but you take our money right off our pay cheques and piss it away. You are sooooo done! 🥾
David Eby seems to think being a billionaire is something to be condemned.
Maybe he should take a look at what Jimmy Pattison has actually done for British Columbia.
• EXPO 86: Pattison worked virtually full-time for five years without compensation to help make Expo 86 a reality and putting Vancouver on the world stage
• Health care: He donated $75 million to St. Paul’s Hospital, described by the B.C. government as a historic contribution to Canadian health-care philanthropy. (BC News)
• Royal Columbian Hospital: He donated $30 million toward the redevelopment, with the new acute-care tower now bearing his name.
• Surrey health care: He donated $5 million toward the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre, helping fund equipment and attract physicians.
-Vancouver General Hospital: donated $20 million to VGH
-He made major contributions to Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, Burnaby, Kelowna General and Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. A 2024 grant record shows nearly $20 million in foundation grants in one year, much of it going to B.C. health care.
- Children’s health: the Pattison Group, has contributed tens of millions of dollars to B.C. Children’s Hospital, including $15 million for its family immunization clinic.
• Jobs and investment: The Pattison Group grew from a single Vancouver car dealership into a major Canadian business empire employing thousands of people.
So when David Eby looks at Jimmy Pattison and sees only “a billionaire,” British Columbians should remember what Pattison has actually contributed.
He built businesses. He created jobs. He invested in our communities. He helped put Vancouver on the world stage. And he has donated millions to help British Columbians receive health care.
We should be debating how to create more success stories like Jimmy Pattison not denigrating people simply because they achieved extraordinary success.
B.C. needs more builders, more investment and more ambition, not politicians who turn success into something to be ashamed of and using him for cheap political talking points
@LDoerkson@BenMulroney How about spending a small % of that $ on a couple of fire boats for Okanagan Lake? They would be the best answer to fighting lakefront fires and could easily double as floating pump stations supplying water to fire trucks on the front lines. Seems like a total no brainer
Two years ago today, David Eby's NDP announced a campaign promise.
A $1,000 grocery rebate for every family in British Columbia.
Eby won, then Eby broke that promise.
How can you trust anything the NDP say this election?
The NDP has one plan for BC: block growth, then raise your taxes to cover the gap.
Our BC Energy Superpower Plan turbocharges wealth and investment, because growth is how we fund the programs British Columbians rely on.
BC has what the world desperately needs.
Today I announced our BC Energy Superpower Plan, to double LNG production by 2032 and triple it by 2035. BC is Canada's gateway to the rest of the world, it's time to build more and build faster.
Strong leadership for serious times.
🚨 MAJOR BREAKING -
350 Hamilton steelworkers just lost their jobs.
Up to 500 impacted.
Stelco is in survival mode.
The same tariffs Carney promised he could negotiate away.
He couldn't.
Now Hamilton pays for it.
Right before Christmas.
Carney flew to the UN and pledged $100 million to Palestine this week.
A strong private sector economy is the basis of our collective prosperity. This is exactly the type of candidate we need to see running. Tell the culture warriors to sit down and accept this will be a board of trade party. There’s nothing wrong with that. #bcpoli#cdnpoli
So, let’s talk about Richard Zussman and the pharmaceutical company he is lobbying for while now running as the NDP candidate in Saanich South.
Zussman is currently registered with the B.C. Lobbyists Registry as a consultant lobbyist for ALK-Abelló Pharmaceuticals Inc.
His registration has been active since March 5, 2026.
(Lobbyists Registrar)
ALK-Abelló is a pharmaceutical company specializing in allergy and immunotherapy products. Health Canada’s database lists its products in Canada, including NEFFY, a prescription epinephrine nasal spray, as well as allergy immunotherapy products such as GRASTEK, ACARIZAX and ITULATEK.
Here's the part people should pay attention to:
Zussman's lobbying file specifically involves health and education, with his registration covering two provincial ministries.
So while there is nothing inherently illegal about a lobbyist running for office, voters deserve to know when a political candidate has recently been paid to lobby government on behalf of a pharmaceutical company.
The former political reporter is now asking voters to put him in the Legislature while his name is on the B.C. Lobbyists Registry representing Big Pharma.
That's not a minor footnote. That's something voters have every right to know about. Especially considering he wanted to PUNISH people who didn't take the experimental Covid Injection.
Disgusting. Two child-murdering pedophiles released from prison in Victoria, B.C.
Putting even more of our children at risk, and causing further grief to the families of those who were taken from us far too soon.
At MINIMUM, monsters like this should stay behind bars for life.
