It’s very reasonable to expect that he wouldn’t have fared any better and possibly even worse if you had placed his Finals bound teams in the West. At best he ends up with 4 total appearances, not 10.

Also get thrown out regularly because the wife can just claim she signed it out of duress. Plus many states have sunset laws that cause them to expire after a certain time period.

Even some of his seasons where they were the 1 seed would have looked different as they would have been the 2-3 seed out west.
