As I’m mentioning in my sermon tomorrow, if you really enjoy your church’s Sunday worship but you’re wondering about its discipleship program, you’re missing something about the purpose of Sunday worship.
@Wombat11412@CalvinistFather@howiedoit299187 The Lord answers it. “They do not believe because they are not of my sheep. My sheep hear my voice and they follow me.” Those who God calls into His sheepfold will hear and believe. Too often it’s taught backwards. That the believing are His sheep. Parents, don’t let your kids lead the way when deciding where to lay your hat in a church home.
Churches should make kids feel welcome, they should have intention and game planning to assist or equip families in their discipleship of their children, and there can be FUN events. That’s encouraged. It’s a family.
But parents, more importantly than “children will tend to find the most entertaining regardless of doctrinal content” the bigger problem is: children don’t rule the home. Parents are the leaders. Pray, and make the call.

@JoelWBerry If you hold this man up as a legend- why don’t you apply his same reasoning to the abolition of a far deadlier evil in our day. Abortion must be abolished immediately to the glory of God and without compromise.
@Soteriology101 @JoseyWalesMIZ @Soteriology101 Do definitions of words change over time? Or are you denying that the meaning of the word arbitrary is in fact, different today than used by Calvin and Edward’s, as you claim.
@sola_chad@JesusSaves1500 They should plant a church. If a church has outgrown their facilities, hopefully they have been raising up elders that they can send out to plant a church. Normal and natural church growth
