@AshtonJEaton We actually met in Sherwood when your mother-in-law was down. You were picking up some liquor, as was I, and we spoke for about 10 minutes. That was a few years ago.
@theallinpod Shouldn't Lutnick know this? Is he playing the bad cop so Trump can swoop in and make the deal and be the hero cop? It's the only explanation.
@shistim@DougKass@realmoney Actually, a lot of people (investors) care. He has been right as rain over the last few years, despite making some extremely bold calls.
@albertedwards99@dailychartbook In 2000, the NASDAQ used fractions and you could see 1/2 point ($0.50), 3/4 point ($0.75), or even $1 to $2 point spreads in the popular NASDAQ names.
Today, the NASDAQ uses decimals and its mostly penny spreads. MUCH more difficult to repeat the gain (1999) and drop in 2000.
@AlderLaneEggs So a depositor at a bank should lose everything over $250K? How is that right?
And treasuries that will mature at par even though their down now should force insolvency?
I agree that anyone stupid enough to have kept up a carry-trade over the last years deserves to lose.
@BillAckman@SVB_Financial I think we can all agree that no one should be expected to lose money on deposits. Bill Ackman is one of the most successful investors ever and you all should listen to what he has to say. This is much more about everyone's interest than just his own.
Read my latest Seeking Alpha article if you need double-digit yields from your investments, most of which is tax-deferred.
And these are in VERY liquid funds that trade on the NYSE:

@StephenKing It's truly amazing how much time, effort and $ has been put into either backing or fending off one man's ego-driven obsession when all Trump had to do was concede 2-years ago and he would be in the driver's seat right now!
@CapitalObserver This would be a perfect time for Zuckerberg to launch a competing platform to Twitter. He needs to inject some real time usage and activity and what better way than the millions of Facebook users. Call it FacebookLive, accessible through a separate app or through Facebook itself
If Zuckerberg were smart, he would launch a competing platform to Twitter. He’s got billions of accounts already and desperately needs a boost to his Facebook/Metaverse platform
