A lot of people don't really understand why general practice gets unhappy with "innovation". Here's a worked example.

Say, a service in a hospital costs £200, but analysis shows that it can be done in a GP practice for £50. Create a plan, get it shifted! Right?

GPs - SAFE & HEALTHY PRACTICE

30 consults a day

15 mins allocated to each (complex for the most part) - admin for each appt included

Triage the ‘simpler’ consults to allied health professionals

5 days = 37.5 hrs = Full time

REALITY 10-12 hr days = 3 days = Full time
