@RepFine Yo aren't you part of that party that's protecting billionaire pedophiles that inject babies blood and also bomb little kids in the middle east?
@CP24 Unaffordable housing, food. Difficult to find good jobs. Rapid decline of healthcare access. All whilst the government rapidly increases immigration exacerbating said problems and catering policies to older generations who already have it made.
@stayfreeCanada2 GDP is a country's annual economic output. That means we output 2.2 trillion per year. Elon could not "buy half of Canada", he could buy half of what Canada produces in *one year*. The "market value" of Canada is actually tens of trillions of dollars, not 2.
@VoiceoverCop Sending a couple of demerit points in the mail doesn’t prevent deaths, it just punishes after the fact. We need measures that actually stop dangerous driving before people get hurt.
@VoiceoverCop Fair point, if cameras can ID offenders that might help.
But we must balance safety & privacy.
Building safer roads should tackle speeding without perpetuating a surveillance state.
Prevention > punishment.
Two very different approaches.
@VoiceoverCop We can change behavior by putting the money from fines towards building safer roads.
Speed cameras auto fine the vehicle owner so the demerit argument is moot.
How do we issue demerit points when we don't know who the driver is?
@gator_gum They're upset because he preaches about protecting the earth and climate while flying around the world more than 99.9% of Canadians. He's a hypocrite. It's not about the money.
