Studies of caffeine, one of the most commonly consumed drugs in the world, are largely observational, meaning that confounding by other factors remains an important consideration in interpreting the majority of scientific results. Therefore, more randomized controlled trials investigating the effects of caffeine on cardiovascular health are needed.
This scientific statement reviews and synthesizes evidence on the effects of caffeine on cardiovascular diseases.

Building on the First Definition of Heart Failure, the Second Definition refines HF staging with sharper stage criteria, emphasizing early detection and individualized risk reduction and introduces the universal classification of HF causes, with explicit acknowledgment of geographic variation in HF risk and outcomes. https://t.co/YDuE4stb5s
This updated document provides a unified, internationally harmonized framework intended to standardize terminology. It addresses changes in disease manifestations, diagnostic strategies, and understanding of pathophysiology.

One year ago, I stood at #ISTH2025 in Washington DC presenting my abstract & received a $2000 Travel Award.
Since then: more abstracts, more presentations, more papers.
The constant through all of it? @metaacademy_ofc — they taught me how to turn a question into evidence.
Excited to present my abstract at #ISTH2025 in Washington, DC 🇺🇸!
Honored to be a Travel Award recipient—thank you to the ISTH Scientific Committee! 🙏
Looking forward to sharing my research and connecting with others on June 21–25. 🧬
