Trauma-informed care is an important lens in stopping retraumaticsation. But thrrr has to be trauma therapy available too. Stopping retraumatisation and processing trauma are not the same thing.
Shining a light on the intergenerational transmission of trauma, Iatrogenic harm, chronic illness and psychosis has never sounded so good.

👏👏👏 groundbreaking work by @FilippoVarese and colleagues - the first UK trial of EMDR for psychosis, with strong evidence of feasibility and acceptability! Next step will be to evaluate efficacy, with aim of increased access and choice in trauma therapies in psychosis in EI.

An accessible 20min from Prof Robin Murray on abandoning the ‘dinosaur’ of diagnosis; schizophrenia, it’s harm and how a more nuanced understanding of psychosis is helping us target social adversity and trauma rather than relying solely on medication in #earlyintervention
Great day 1 at #emdrconf yesterday. Inspiring presentations by Rebecca Kase on Polyvagal-Informed EMDR, @FilippoVarese and team on the EASE trial #EMDRp and @naomicfisher and Caroline on working with neurodiversity.
