@Shr_Nottingham In a totally unrelated scenario, I recall it was challenging to get a particular doctor to see patients with neutropenic sepsis for which they were admitted due to a known side effect of treatment from this doctor’s clinic. May explain some things.

@jfdwolff @ProfMakris @haemophilia_jnl Problem is that they’re a bit of a hassle to measure. You have to keep them shielded from light and rapid delivery to lab. Easier to have a look at their gums and ask about bleeding and try therapeutic trial of citrus fruits/multivitamins :)

If you are on iron - after taking a tablet you cannot absorb anymore iron for ~36 hours

Optimal dose =

one tablet

every day
or
every other day

Depending on tolerance & if short / long term treatment.

Higher doses are not absorbed & cause GI side effects.
