Prime Minister #ShinzoAbe, I thank you for your continuous support for #Taiwan. We, as #Taiwanese, will remember this and take it to heart. I hope that you are at peace, and may #Japan and #Taiwan continue to foster our bond and friendship.
Prime Minister #AbeShinzo was a controversial figure in Japan and I am not entitled to make any final verdict of his legacy in #japanesepolitics. However, as a #Taiwanese and a specialist in #IPE and #Japan‘s #IR, he really made a mark and it saddens me of his passing.
A win for #Indigenous rights in #Taiwan:
The Taiwan gov has decided to relax its Chinese-lang registration system to enable Indigenous ppl to use a sole legal Indigenous name in Latin script. No more awkward Chinese transliterations of #Austronesian names are needed. #decolonize
My latest piece for @UoNARI_Taiwan
from @UniofNottingham The article discusses why the comparison between #Russia -#Ukraine and #China - #Taiwan is a flawed approach. ‘Today’s Ukraine is Tomorrow’s Taiwan’? https://t.co/qqk4m6t0Cg via @TSPUoN
Personally, it’s frustrating to observe limited progress made in Japan over the years. Gender gap persists in Japan as women earn 74% as much as men https://t.co/UihoTCHKkN
