The @UN spokesperson just incorrectly claimed that the 1971 resolution concerns "the UN's stance on #Taiwan as a province of China." This is reckless in today's situation, where distorted narratives form the basis of China's justification for an invasion. @UN, stop fuelling war.

@UN This incorrect @UN claim, now seen as a victory by China, is spreading like wildfire across the Chinese internet. China is emboldened by the UN adopting their interpretation repeatedly. The @UN is unnecessarily encouraging war in the region. Please stop & think about the TW ppl.

Breaking: The @UN Secretary-General spokesperson just incorrectly claimed that the 1971 resolution concerns "the UN's standing on #Taiwan as a province of China." This error is extremely dangerous now, as China might view it, as the journalist did, as UN approval to take over TW.

@siverianka Found this figure of the Taiwanese Indigenous national flag Turivuan Danav designed in the 1950s, at the height of the White Terror. This perhaps represent the earliest attempt of Indigenous Nationalism in Taiwan.

Taiwan's White Terror, an #Indigenous account, described in Paiwan chief Turivuan Danav's own words in his 1999 statement in court:
"For half a century, I have lived in agony, unable to find peace in death or life, suffering in a state of perpetual despair w/o a moment's peace."
