Mindlobowing IR satellite image of Category 5 hurricane #Milton. Those gravity waves! Max sustained winds of 180 mph (290 km/h), central pressure of 905 mbar. Only 2 other hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico have had maximum winds of 180+ mph since 1950: Allen (1980) and Rita (2005)
@EE has been a fantastic company to work with professionally over the years, but my personal UX / CX view of it the last couple of days has been a revelation. Such a shame when it’s something handled well by @VodafoneUK’s equivalent service. #ServiceDesign
Congratulations @dwaynefields on becoming Chief Scout, inspiring half a million @Scouts to believe in themselves, help other people and gain #SkillsForLife
We’re excited to announce @DwayneFields, adventurer and TV presenter, as the UK’s new Chief Scout. He's been appointed to lead our half a million young people and adult volunteers. Read more at: https://t.co/bBc0ZgjikQ
@uhbwNHS my 9 year old daughter has been waiting to see fracture clinic for 5 weeks now, after an urgent referral from the GP, for a known foot fracture. Is this normal?
@NHSuk I keep getting reminders to get my child vaccinated, they have been, and the GP says that their records reflect that. So I’m not sure why your records are incorrect, nor does there appear to be a mechanism to correct them? Seems a waste to chase people due to data quality issues?
We’re updating our river level station pages to show a more accurate trend of the river. Based on feedback, we’ll now use an average of the last 5 readings instead of just 2. Stay tuned for more accurate river trends! https://t.co/S2rJmVcs0Z #rivertrend#checkforflooding
Another day, another badly overcrowded and thus potentially unsafe @CrossCountryUK train. Train manager has actually just asked us all to complain on social media because ‘maybe they will then listen’, any comments @CrossCountryUK?
I'm honoured and humbled to have been awarded an OBE in the #NewYearsHonours. This is, however, really a recognition of the importance of the work we all collectively do in these fields to make the world a safer, more welcoming and inclusive place. Thank you for all you do too.
We're so pleased to work with many different corporate partners to help more young people access Scouts and to learn #SkillsForLife. Could you work with us in 2024? Find out more about corporate partnerships and get in touch here: https://t.co/uQYlpBpp7E
@katkinsmith Yes, I probably should have posted the ready made English translation by @Vedurstofan (was too busy being wowed by the imagery!) but if you click on the original post from them you’ll find @X have a translation option built in to the post too.

One of the reasons we're worried about #StormCiarán is because of the loss of 'capacity' within the soil as a result of #StormBabet. This animation shows how the soil moisture deficit changed across England and Wales 10 days ago - the dark blues showing 'saturated' catchments
