This is democracy!

Discrimination on appraisals continues to rob wealth from Black families and other families of color and contributes to the racial wealth gap. New Jersey must pass A1519/S777 without delay. https://t.co/M6Rm1E77Hr
Anger, grief in #Paterson after a senseless death that many feel could have been avoided. Calls now for federal & state intervention, including takeover of Paterson PD. @andresayeghNJ @zellieimani @RevCharlesBoyer @GovMurphy @NewJerseyOAG
More evidence of the widespread nature of appraisal discrimination.
This systemic problem must be addressed.
Here in New Jersey we can combat appraisal discrimination by passing S777/A1519.

An important OpEd from our @DrLauraSullivan.
"This phenomenon is not new our financial institutions have been denying Black families equitable access to financial services that help them to build wealth, mainly through homeownership."

Redlining is not a thing of the past.
State and federal governments have to continue working to ensure that families of color and Black families, in particular, have equal access to lending opportunities
