Registration closes at 9am on 11th Feb: Last chance to register for our workshop on adapting the cognitive and behavioural elements of therapy for children and young people with OCD https://t.co/UgEpAZ2rr8
Just completed an incredibly helpful and clinically relevant workshop on compulsive checking and pathological doubting. Excited to apply the learning in clinic. Thank you @AdamRadomsky and @OCTC_Oxford
@ocdaction Really excited to be part of this fantastic conference. I’m hoping to offer some insights into OCD for young people, as well as strategies for accessing and getting the best out of therapy
@AshleyFulwood Totally agree. I have successfully worked with many under 12’s with OCD with an adapted 1:1 CBT intervention but parental involvement is key. Many services may offer parent only tx for u12s. We’re currently reviewing the literature to explore this qu & highlight key adaptations
@drclairlawson@OCTC_Oxford@psalkovskis This is an excellent question to which the answer should be in the link but I can see that it is not, apologies for this. It will likely be 9-4.30 but let me confirm with my colleagues and I’ll get back to you.
Excited to host the fourth workshop of the @OCTC_Oxford CBT for OCD series (14.1.21) with @psalkovskis. We will be covering delivery of the cognitive model for children and young people. See https://t.co/MzuHxz3nrc for details. Registration closes on January 6th.
Brilliant afternoon talking at the hotel @OCDUK in the family focus room today. Thank you so much @AshleyFulwood, Zoe Wilson and team for inviting us to such an extraordinarily well organised event and to all the attendees for asking such helpful and thought provoking questions.
** MAJOR NEW STUDY ON CHILD AND ADOLESCENT #MENTALHEALTH DURING #COVID19 **
If you are a UK parent of a child in school year 0 to 11 please take part to help us track children and young people's mental health and identify how best to help families
There is a lot of advice out there at the moment (which is great - but may also be overwhelming) so we have pulled our favourite resources together here with guidance from experts in child anxiety. Please share. Thanks to @pollywaite @Cathy_Creswell@DrHelenDodd@buttonroberta1
We (@BDDFoundation@MaudsleyNHS) are running a project raising awareness of BDD in schools so young people can access timely assessment & treatment. If you would like us to come to your school please get in touch! #bdd#school
