On December 1st, the China Eastern Airlines Beijing - Muscat New Route Promotion Event was held in Muscat. Ambassador Lyu Jian attended the event and delivered a speech.
Ambassador Lyu congratulated the successful opening of the route, noting that it is the latest measure to implement the outcomes of the China–Arab and China–GCC Summits. He stressed that the new link will inject fresh momentum into China–Oman connectivity, win–win cooperation, and the revitalization of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. He emphasized that “the opening of this direct flight marks a new starting point for deeper China–Oman cooperation,” calling on all sectors to seize the opportunity to strengthen exchanges and contribute to the China–Oman strategic partnership.
During the ceremony, H.E. Salim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage & Tourism, and expert in the office of Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Sayyid Hamoud Al Busaidi, senior officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Li Ye, Deputy General Manager of China Eastern Airlines, joined guests from both countries. A lighting ceremony was held, with major guests jointly illuminating the screen to mark the official launch of the flight. Mr. Li Bin, head of China Eastern’s Muscat Advance Team, delivered a detailed presentation on the new route and service features.

Today, we joined the Embassy of Nepal and friends in a joyful celebration of Oman's Glorious National Day! In a joyful, family-like atmosphere, Ambassador Lyu Jian and Mme. Tina joined Ambassador Dornath Aryal and Mme. Swodesh, alongside colleagues and friends, for a meaningful hike along the C38 trail. We combined the appreciation of stunning coastal views with a collective effort to clean the path, contributing to environmental protection.

The activity left everyone feeling refreshed and happy. As evening fell, the view of the castle—adorned with special National Day lights against the sea—was truly memorable. A special thanks to our professional guides, Abudullah and Fathiya, for their outstanding support!
