As an AD, we made a rule: if a student-athlete quits mid-season, they can’t join preseason activities or the next season’s team until the season they quit is over. Purpose: hold athletes accountable to their commitment.
The Cowboys defense has not played well but has also had to defend short fields because of turnovers by offense and exceptionally bad coverage by kickoff coverage teams.
Just bad ball. Dak Prescott picked off in end zone by Reed Blankenship after a false start penalty makes it second and goal at the Eagles 5. As embarrassing a performance as there has been. Team wide.
It honestly doesn't even seem like the Cowboys care.
Given how much turmoil the front office has put them through over the last almost two years it is understandable.
This team just exists for other teams to go off on and make memes out of.
CeeDee Lamb lucky a fumble wasn't ruled on his catch. A matter of inches. KaVontae Turpin not so lucky. He just drops the ball on a run the next play. Eagles recover. Cowboys so far playing as sloppy as they did in last home game vs. Arizona.
It is one thing for the Cowboys to get beat by other teams. We can all accept that.
It is so frustrating and demoralizing for them to be hellbent on being the most embarrassing football team to ever live.
One play after it was determined CeeDee Lamb was down before fumbling, KaVontae Turpin fumbles and loses the ball without being hit.
A very poor early showing by the Cowboys as they trail the Eagles 14-0.
For any Dallas Cowboys fans headed out to Las Vegas-
Tyron Smith will be at Rhythm & Riffs inside Mandalay Bay for a meet and greet on Monday from 1:30-3:30pm.
Hope anyone who goes has fun!
#Cowboys owner Jerry Jones walks to the locker room following perhaps his team’s most dismal loss of the season. They’ve lost two straight and enter bye week at 3-5-1.
Again, I said it earlier this week, this team has a real shot at picking top 5-7.
There isn’t a world where any offense can overcome this defense. Toughest part of the schedule still to come.
The worst front office in the history of sports.
