The severing only happened after it was made public and even required the removal of him from the royal family for yall to even not recognize him militarily. Not to mention he still has heavy ties in the country and even took down charitable orgs over their directors ties to him. PM did not even say he should be removed from succession line until 2026 (further backing my Trudeau sucks point).
