My Mum was "discharged" without treatment. Removed from waiting list, a list she'd been on for 18 months, not 22 - 26 weeks but 18 fucking months.
I threatened legal action, with proof.
She had her appointment last week. #labourhavenomoralcompass

We've been waiting for a hip replacement for 14 months. 2 cancelled appointments, last one 2 weeks ago cancelled whilst Mum was at hospital. Another lady had been called in due to "a cancellation"!
Mum has now been discharged. Shes no longer on any list

Yep, me too 😒. You get 12 days to spend on bakery and earn reward points, I think I've probably bought 3 bakery items in the last 12 months, so I'm screwed @marksandspencer . Bring back the old system please.

@marksandspencer @PropJourn M&S the new reward system is awful. To get a £1 reward I need to spend £8 on bakery products as an example. I much preferred my occasional 20% off clothing and things I wanted. The new sparks is pushing me away rather than encouraging me to shop. Bring back the old Sparks!

@gotrice2024 34 years ago I started paying £100 a month "board" to my parents. They started a savings account for me. Every year it increased and when I left home for good 8 years later, I had a nice start for the deposit for my home 😊

The vitriol I’ve seen online this morning is absolutely fucking wild.

I’m seeing people openly suggest disabled people should remove themselves from public spaces in case their involuntary tics offend someone. That is segregation rhetoric. And it’s dangerous.

When high-profile figures like Jamie Foxx amplify narratives that frame a recognised neurological condition as malice, the consequences are real.

People with severe Tourette’s have been physically assaulted because of their tics. My son has. John has. Others have. This isn’t theoretical.

Coprolalia is involuntary. There is no intent. No belief. No choice. It’s a neurological misfire.

The difference here is simple: Jamie Foxx and others with huge platforms have control over the words they choose to share.

People with severe Tourette’s do not always have control over certain words their brains force out.

That distinction matters.

When influential voices push harmful, inflammatory takes, it legitimises hostility toward disabled people. It makes life less safe for them in the real world.

We can acknowledge impact without erasing disability.

But what I’m seeing right now? It shows we still have a long, long way to go before people living with severe Tourette’s are truly accepted.

Whilst the TCP/IP protocols were invented by two Americans, the World Wide Web was infact, invented by a Brit, Sir Tim Berners-Lee. Thus paving the way for "apps" such as Twitter to be used globally.

@waychee1 My dad is 78, disabled with dementia. I telephoned his surgery today to order a repeat prescription, im told he has to do it on line or in person, I cant do it for him. The system is flawed beyond belief.

@BritishGasHelp fraud has been committed on my parents bank account. The DD has been cancelled. Ive called your customer services for help, but no one knows what BGX accounts are & no one can help. I need to know the name of the account holder, we have carers in the house.
