Today is Firewatch's tenth anniversary. It remains the thing I'm most proud to have worked on. There's more of me inside of Firewatch than in any other gameโand I have no doubt there are others on the team who would say the same about themselves. Thanks to everyone who played it.
S1mple saying our map was "Good map" I can comfortably die happy now lol.
de_Contact was the showcase map and you can play it on the workshop!

This is Golden; a very interesting layout that takes a little getting used to, hence me dying a lot at the start of this playtest but it gets better. This is the map I want to play the most due to the layout.
This contest had a number of daring and unique layouts (contact is also worth a look); for me this one was the most intriguing and perhaps offers something new to @CounterStrike . Perhaps Overpass stans will get the mental juices flowing on this map.
Maps like these offer something new and challenging to CS, beyond the tried and tested layout formula that we are all familiar with.
When @CounterStrike add new community maps in updates, I think a video should accompany the changes with fly-throughs and some words on the type of map it is to encourage people to test the waters of these new maps and potentially shape the future of the active duty map pool.
Some more Contact screens. Inhale the asbestos and get tetanus bumping into the environment today! We officially released last night so go download it and check out all that hard work we put in over the past year!

Thank you for all those who contributed and playtested!

@the_xzamplez@CounterStrike@Mapcore@rollingenocide Thanks! Still in the works. I think that your saying that because most of this vid is flying above player space where alot of the craziness is. The shots that are in player navigable space we do try and draw the eye to specific engagments. Also learning the map is important.
Before and After vid for Contact. It's always fun seeing the difference from the greybox and show's how much effort was put into making this CS2 map.
