“Opioid” should not be a dirty word. Many things activate our endogenous opioid system to regulate pain, mood, immune system & appetite.

The kratom plant is one of those things, & we should be funding research to understand how its many alkaloids, including 7-OH, influence pain, sleep, addiction recovery & even cancer.

We should not be turning kratom alkaloids into Schedule 1 drugs w/severe criminal penalties & research barriers.
