People ask me all the time why I'm so passionate about kratom. Let me tell you.
My husband and I train Jiu-Jitsu together. We lift. We run multiple businesses. We have two kids. Life is full and it does not slow down.
Kratom is a huge part of how we keep up with all of it.
Before kratom, the soreness and the fatigue from training was real. You'd come home and just be done. Physically there but mentally checked out. And when you're running a household, raising kids, and trying to be a good partner on top of everything else that's not okay.
Natural leaf kratom changed that for both of us. Recovery is better. Energy is more consistent. Dan and I show up on the mats together, we push each other, and then we come home and we're actually PRESENT for our boys. Not dragging. Not irritable. Present.
That's what people don't understand when they talk about banning this plant. They're not just banning a leaf. They're coming after our quality of life. Our family time. Our ability to do the things we love and still show up for the people who matter most.
Dan and I built MitraSpec because we live this every single day. This isn't just a business for us it's our life. And we're not going to let anyone take that away without a fight. 🥋🍃

💚✨ The Kratom Gals
Women with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives has grown into something much bigger a community.
We're moms, business owners, advocates, caregivers, survivors, professionals, and everyday women who believe in supporting each other, even when we don't always agree on everything.
We show up.
We ask questions.
We challenge misinformation.
We share our experiences.
And most importantly, we lift each other up.
In a world that seems determined to divide people, we've chosen connection instead.
Different stories. Different journeys. One mission: education, advocacy, and supporting the people who depend on this community.
Grateful for every one of these incredible women and everyone who joins us each week for the conversation. 💚
Together we're stronger.

Beyond that, Courtney is a devoted wife, an incredible mother of five, and helps support her husband's small business. She gives so much of herself to her family, her community, and the people around her.
Over the last 12 years, we've watched Courtney support countless people, and now we'd love for our community to surround her with the same love and encouragement she has given to so many others.

So, let's blame the product and not the choices of the user WHO DIDN'T FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. I don't advocate for Feel Free (trash). However, people that CHOOSE TO ABUSE do not get to blame the product that WAS LABELED! Do some research !#KeepKratomLegal

I've never used 7OH. I've never advocated for it.
Yet I've spent months being labeled "pro-7OH" simply for allowing conversations and refusing to demonize chronic pain patients.
If you're curious where I actually stand, this explains it.

This is Kratom advocacy in action! 💪 Venus (@siennagsd) and her mom spent the day on Capitol Hill in Washington DC talking to reps and aides about natural Kratom. Our voice matters, and it truly makes a difference.
🚨 While lawmakers continue focusing on kratom, a new synthetic opioid reportedly 10x more potent than fentanyl has been detected in Rhode Island.
This is exactly why public policy should be focused on the real drivers of overdose deaths: illicit fentanyl, emerging synthetic opioids, and an increasingly unpredictable street drug supply.
Natural kratom products sold by responsible vendors are not the same thing as these dangerous synthetic substances.
Consumers deserve facts, science-based policies, and access to tested, regulated products not fear-based narratives that lump everything together.
The real crisis isn't a leaf from the coffee family.
It's the ever-changing illicit drug market that's becoming more potent and more dangerous by the day.

💚 A little reminder for my fellow small business owners...
Supporting another business in your industry doesn't take anything away from yours.
There are millions of people in this world, and no single company can serve everyone. Collaboration, kindness, and community will always take you further than jealousy and competition.
I've learned that when small businesses lift each other up, everyone benefits including the customers.
Especially in the kratom community, we face enough challenges from outside forces. We don't need to spend our energy fighting each other when we could be working together to protect consumer choice, educate responsibly, and help more people.
At MitraSpec, we're proud to support other small businesses, including Christopher's Organic Botanicals

There's room for all of us to succeed. We can compete, collaborate, and coexist at the same time.

For years, Rhode Island was a banned state. As of April 1, 2026, Rhode Island flipped from prohibition to a regulated market. Businesses can now legally sell kratom if they meet licensing, testing, labeling, packaging, and age verification requirements.
Why does this matter?
✔️ A state that once banned kratom now allows legal sales.
✔️ Licensed businesses can enter the market instead of operating in fear of enforcement.
✔️ Consumers gain access to tested, regulated products.
✔️ It strengthens the argument that regulation works better than prohibition.
The law isn't perfect. There are licensing fees, taxes, age restrictions, retailer requirements, and limits on certain high-potency products. But for legitimate kratom businesses, regulation creates a pathway to operate legally instead of being shut out completely.
This is why so many advocates have been saying:
👉 The future isn't "ban kratom."
👉 The future is regulating natural leaf products while holding bad actors accountable.
Rhode Island just became one of the first examples of a state moving from prohibition to regulation.

🌈 Pride Month is personal for me.
As the parent of an amazing child, I've seen firsthand the strength it takes to be yourself in a world that isn't always kind. I've also seen the courage, resilience, and authenticity that make me proud every single day.
Pride isn't just a celebration it's a reminder that everyone deserves to be loved, respected, accepted, and safe being exactly who they are.
Happy Pride Month. 🏳️🌈

@SarahPalinUSA was 100% correct about "Death Panels" just look at Canada and MAID
Depriving elderly and disabled patients access to necessary Opioid pain medication is a slow steady death sentence♿️💊
They knew, they know, and still they continue👇

Headed to Washington, DC Tomorrow! 🇺🇸

Tomorrow my mom and I are heading to Washington, DC to share our plain leaf kratom stories and speak up for something I care deeply about.
Wish me luck! 💚

For years we've been told kratom has "no medical value." Now the NIH and FDA have cleared a human clinical trial of mitragynine the primary alkaloid in kratom as a potential treatment for opioid use disorder. Interesting timing while some states continue pushing bans.

This is the part lawmakers ignore. A cancer survivor moved to Tennessee to be closer to her grandchildren and now may have to move again because the one thing that helps her is being banned. These aren't statistics...they're real people whose lives are being disrupted by bad policy. 💔🌿 #Kratom #PatientChoice #Tennessee
In 1839, Dutch botanist Pieter Willem Korthals officially introduced Mitragyna speciosa to the scientific community. But long before his global expeditions, natural kratom leaf was already deeply woven into the daily lives of Southeast Asian locals, who had used it safely for centuries for mood elevation and productivity.
As the official botanist of the Dutch East India Service, Korthals recognized the plant's unique properties, placing it in the same coffee family family as other valuable crops he studied.
This history matters today because it proves that natural kratom leaf is a time-tested botanical. It is a centuries old botanical, not a dangerous new synthetic trend. Our laws should protect adult access to this natural plant through sensible regulation.
