Updates from a Dallas ICU: we are completely full with COVID patients. Our ER is trying to send us 3 more. We are running out of good PPE and having to use shitty backups. The other ICUs are trying to take our AM staffing because they are also full.
It would seem that as long as he holds campaign rallies, @realDonaldTrump will have huge crowds, despite #COVID19 because it's all "fake news."
If #Trump doesn't defuse this, his events risk becoming foci of outbreaks.
So this happened:
Trying to get into holiday spirit I put cider on with spices. (I use a wooden spoon to keep the tea ball from falling into the pot)....
Anto stopped by at @DrupalConEur to encourage me with his story: he’s earned a living off our #Drupal modules for the last *10 years*. This trip was his first time ever leaving India, and it was made possible by a @drupalassoc scholarship. 🥳
We want #Drupal Commerce to thrive in a crowded, well-funded market. That means bringing predictability to our development and pursuing a long term sustainable financial model. Come consider things like roadmap and money in open source with me this morning at @DrupalConEur. 😬
I yearn for a world, or even a Friday evening, where a friend or family member asking “did you hear” doesn’t immediately produce a pit in the stomach and the mental image of Donald Trump rage tweeting chaos and incoherence.
To my fellow members of the press, I suggest we refrain from quoting the presiden’ts words from prepared speeches into headlines and tweets without context. He sometimes says the right thing. The real questions are what he does and what he really believes.
It's not enough just to comment on the president's racist language... He also repeatedly lies about what the congresswomen said, or takes words drastically out of context (a form of lying). The press should call these lies out whenever they show or print the president's comments.
