@Great_Chumpion@TAHK0 That can be said about many platformers - Metroid, Castlevania, even Sonic sell way less than one would think by looking at enthusiast-driven discourse.
Everyone knows. Everyone. It's obvious, undeniable, outrageous. We know what they did, we know why they did it, and we know that they'll never be punished for it.
We love sharing games WE love with our community!

It’s June already and Asuka Langley wanted to spit some facts, degeneracy’s not love and definitely’s not something to be proud. 🚫🌈

Anime is uniquely Japanese, to "nurture creators in global markets" is to remove one of the key aspects that makes it special: the culture that creates it.
On the surface, this may seem an innocuous or even "good" decision in the sense that "more creators = more creativity" but it's important to remember companies like Sony are heavily invested in cultivating a specific narrative & will select what to promote on that basis.
This will become the animated version of Western "how to draw anime/manga" books; trying hard to emulate appearances, but missing the mark on what makes it truly unique or special, making a cheap imitation.
Of course, that is precisely what these corporations want as they keep pushing for the one world message™ behind the veneer of the "global market" lie.
Anime is already beloved the world over without this type of intervention. This is not an attempt to nurture a medium, but a further attempt at co-opting all entertainment to become the same gray, indistinguishable, ESG/DEI-ridden slop.
