After three horses in NYC’s Central Park spooked, frantically bolted and injured people, #AnimalRights activists with @nyclass staged a die-in at City Hall, demanding that @NYCSpeakerAdams allow a vote on the bill to ban horse-drawn carriages from Midtown.
With the ample evidence demonstrating that the operation of these carriages is unsafe and inhumane even in the park, will @nytopinion reconsider its position that the horses should be working there?
🐴👏🏽We are thrilled that @CMCarlinaRivera has signed on as a cosponsor to #RydersLaw - Intro 967!
Please retweet to thank this compassionate leader and to urge @NYCSpeakerAdams@NYCCouncil to fast-track and pass the bill to end heinous horse abuse.

🚨ABUSE! Lucky is a senior 22-year-old horse who is severely lame in the front legs. His head bobbing is a symptom. He’s in pain & urgently needs to get vet care and be safely retired.
We need help for Lucky: @NYPDPaws@mayorsCAU@NYCSpeakerAdams@Lynn4NYC@BobHoldenNYC
📢We are rallying Wednesday at 11:30am in the Capitol in opposition to the half a BILLION @GovKathyHochul plans to loan @TheNYRA for their Belmont vanity project.
Fund schools, not racetracks that kill horses! No more corporate welfare while so many New Yorkers are struggling.
Animal rights activists stage provocative disruption inside of NYC restaurant David Burke Tavern during foie gras tasting event. @ChefDavidBurke Why do you sell #foiegras when you know that the ducks and geese are victims of unthinkable abuse? @peta@FloFab@johnleland@yenbakas
Shame on @ChefDavidBurke for thinking torturing, force-feeding, and killing ducks for their disease-ridden livers is something to celebrate. There is nothing festive about this, it's disgusting!
There is nothing to celebrate at @ChefDavidBurke's foie gras dinner party when the ducks they are eating where fattened, tortured, force-fed and then killed...
BREAKING: A #NewYork town is suing to shut down animal encounters by a serial animal exploiter and the court issued an order temporarily doing just that! https://t.co/iPXaQaHZaC
As the result of backlash from animal rights groups and a growing concern by the public, the Suffolk County Supreme Court has ordered Sloth Encounters to shut down pending an Oct. 6 hearing. https://t.co/I5RDOx1BXk
URGENT: Carriage horse collapsed in distress right now at 45 St/9th Ave unable to get up, likely from heat distress.
@NYCCouncil@NYCSpeakerAdams@NYCMayor - the world is watching. This horse may die, like many others. We must pass Intro 573 to end this abuse! @BobHoldenNYC
🚨BREAKING: A terrified NYC carriage horse ran out of control into incoming traffic for blocks with no driver before crashing into 2 cars on 61 St!
It’s urgent that @nyccouncil@NYCSpeakerAdams@NYCMayor remove these unsafe, cruel horse carriages from our streets! @BobHoldenNYC
🚨Bird Flu is in NY - @USDA, @nyagandmarkets + @nycHealthy are asleep at the wheel.
⚠️Over 70 live-animal slaughter markets operate in densely populated NYC areas creating public health risks. Sick, diseased birds are sold, blood, feces + body parts contaminate public streets.
NYS parks is wasting tax-payer $ with cruel and ineffective deer control. We're urging the state to use birth control, not bullets.
Please vote "It's animal cruelty" in the poll. @nyclass@peta
Thank you to our friends at @nyclass, @PatrickKwan, @nycHealthy, @Lynn4NYC, @PIX11News, and all of our volunteers for helping to get these ducks to safety! ❤
We will provide them with vet care and place them in loving homes.
Support 🦆 care: https://t.co/Bof5Z2EGZU
🦆RESCUE! @DuckDefenders + NYCLASS just rescued the remainder of the ducks that were illegally kept in neglectful conditions in Forest Hills with no shelter and bred for slaughter. They will get vet care and be placed in loving homes. Never be silent when animals are suffering.🦆
Last night, @DuckDefenders & @nyclass rescued four Muscovy ducks and a goose from this house illegally keeping them in Forest Hills. They will see a vet for severe wing deformities and staph infections attributed to their poor diet and lack of shelter, but dozens more need help!
. @nycHealthy Dozens of domestic ducks, many endemic to the tropics, are being illegally kept on a bed of frozen feces w/o shelter and fed stale bread across from a Forest Hills @NYCSchools. They are sick and malnourished. Give them to @DuckDefenders & @nyclass now!
