I suppose basic economics and business concepts are somehow more complicate but the math is fairly simple.

Musk companies did not start with government contracts nor handovers. It started with a much smaller enterprise called Zip2. That is where the funding capital came. Easily check it out.

That was the first sign of high IQ coding and realizing a positive gain in the market.

Tesla benefitted of government subsidies in the form of consumer discounts for purchase of electric vehicles open to everybody. As a matter of fact nobody even believed that Tesla would survive 2 years and the subsidies were designed for the big US automotive companies of the time. Simple check on my statement should clarify your confusion on this statement - a correct one that actually reinforce the clear evidence of a much higher business and industrial acume of all remaining US car manufacturers boards and CEO. To this days Tesla is the only car company in the US keep in making money out of selling electric cars even after the end of the subsidies. Again, taking advantage and leverage situations is clearly a rare trait if compared to the sad state of the other US automotive companies.

The contracts from the US Government are mainly in the Space area, where space X saved the government about twice or more the money allocated for these contracts. Failing to see that the money given for services to SpaceX was less than half of what given to its competitors at the time is somehow … incomplete description of a statement?

And what about having placed about the same amount of satellite in orbit as the rest of the world has done in 60 years while reducing the cost of access to space? Clearly a sidestep I suppose.

About Einstein, he was simply not interested into making money to make human race interplanetary. Allocating intellectual resources to the scope of choice is part of the human natural right that his platform defends , as you comment clearly shows.

The clear answer lies in the Gaussian distribution of human intelligence. Outliers on the positive side are able to use science and compress available information in a plan that anticipates global trends.

Acting upon these information with purpose allows people to build an unfantomable ammount of value in companies that they control.

This value is locked in their success, and can be leveraged for other enterprises causing geometrical success.

Complex systems can hardly be “controlled” by simple laws if we account under the controlled variables all the low and rare occurrences.

Or we understand that about complex system governance, or we forfaith any meaningful conversation about the problem.

You have no idea of what you are talking and it is BS. This post is not for you but for everybody else. The only time in Florida that may take longer to vote is at peak hours voter affluence like everywhere else in the world. The normal process at the ballot table is indeed faster or as fast (usually faster).

Arguing with this statement simply proves basic misunderstanding of how voting works. There are a fixed number of pool station. The processing time of each voter is what we were talking. If you have N voters showing up at the same time, they can be processed only one at the time, hence the last one needs to wait N times.

Dating my future wife in a nice Italian restaurant I felt the inesplicable and unstoppable urge to figure out how the straw like material was wrapped around the bottom of the Chianti bottle.

Without hesitation I said “ I wonder how this stays together” pick up the bottle and turned upside down to look at the bottom.

The bottle was not empty. It poured on the table and my (future) wife dress.

She was not happy. But she learnt that we can make it work, even if I may froze in a middle of a conversation and “zone out” on a tangent path for several minutes, to abruptly inf the presents of my mind exploration finding to their total astonishing confusion.

Same when I am reading or working… kids may be crying, house on fire…
