@AndyKHLiu You can very easily imagine a Williams/(Podz/Melton)/(Richard/Yaxel)/Gui/Horford second unit that surrounds him with shooting, screening, and just a little secondary creation and lets him cook
@yeselson@DannyEmerman Melton is a way better defender and shooter. But Williams is a much better distributor and a total demon at driving/finishing at the rim. I really like the four main guards and how they fit together.
@loganb@_giacomo_volpe_ the DSA city councilmembers all endorsed Bass. tbf that was before Raman got in the race, but they haven't changed endorsements and Hugo Soto Martinez specifically has been closely tied to the Bass administration.
@JeremyBWhite Don't think you can say a "company" created a fake poll. The company was fake, too, there's no such thing as Median Strategies. No idea who was behind it.
@hecubian_devil fully vibes-based but feels like dem primary electorates prefer antiestablishment candidates, but also respond to electability arguments and may break late. WI-GOV also had the Bernie 2020 thing where there was an illusion of strength because the opposition was disorganized
@samesfandiari In The Breaks of the Game, Halberstram talks about how no one in the NBA ever wanted to go to Portland but once they were there, players tended to love it and stick around. Think the Bay Area's in the same boat (with a lot more money, of course)
@NBABabySecret Did Shah do anything for you? I know he ran slightly more in the centrist lane for gov, but is saying the right things re: Israel/M4A in the senate race… of course, as of, like two days ago
@daveweigel@ddayen Golden/Mills are totally off the table, so it’ll almost certainly be one of the top-3 governor losers, who are all progressives. No reason for lefties to need a leverage play here!
