بلوچستان ٹیکسٹ بک بورڈ کی نویں جماعت کی انگریزی کی کتاب میں، کیچ سے تعلق رکھنے والے نوجوان سائنس دان ڈاکٹر یار جان عبدالصمد کی جدوجہد اور سائنسی خدمات پر ایک مضمون شامل کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ وہی یار جان عبدالصمد ہے، جس کی ٹوٹی پھوٹی انگریزی سن کر کراچی کی انگلش میڈیم سکول کی میڈم نے طنزاً کہا تھا کہ تم گاؤں جا کر کھیتی باڑی کرو، یہ تعلیم تمہارے بس کا کام نہیں۔

اس بچے نے یہ فقرہ اور یہ لہجہ گرہ میں باندھ لیا۔ پھر وہ ایسا پڑھا، ایسا پڑھا، ایسا پڑھا کہ کراچی سے سیدھا یورپ جا پہنچا اور آج وہ دنیا کی بڑی بڑی یونیورسٹیوں میں اسپیس سائنس پڑھاتا ہے۔ قوموں کا حقیقی فخر ایسے لوگ ہوا کرتے ہیں۔

اس جوان پر یہ مضمون شامل کر کے، ٹیکسٹ بک بورڈ نے، اس کتاب کے مصنفین نے اپنے قد میں اضافہ کیا ہے۔ اس میں مصنفین تو قابلِ تحسین ہیں ہی، ایک کریڈٹ ان لوگوں کو بھی ملنا چاہیے جو ایسے متن کو شامل کرنے سے لے کر سراہنے اور چھاپنے تک کے عمل میں شامل ہوتے ہیں۔ اس میں چیئرمین ٹیکسٹ بک بورڈ کا یقیناً اہم کردار ہے، ساتھ ہی متعلقہ مضمون کے سبجیکٹ اسپیشلسٹ کا بھی جو ایسے مضامین کی اہمیت سمجھتے ہیں۔ بورڈ میں انگریزی کے ماہر مضمون فرید بزدار ہیں۔ یہ ہمارے کالج کے کولیگ رہے ہیں۔ اس نیک کام میں ان کی حصہ داری کو بھی سراہنا بنتا ہے۔ یہ لوگ چوں کہ اکثر پسِ پردہ کام کر رہے ہوتے ہیں، اس لیے ان کا کام تو نظر آتا ہے، نام نہیں۔

یہ کتاب اب بلوچستان بھر میں پڑھائی جا رہی ہے۔ یقیناً یار جان عبدالصمد کے گاؤں میں بھی پہنچے گی، جہاں اس نے اولین جماعتیں پڑھیں۔ یہ وہاں کے بچوں کے لیے فخر کے ساتھ ساتھ کس قدر موٹیویشن کا ذریعہ بنے گی۔ کیا پتہ اسی سے حوصلہ پا کر پھر کوئی یار جان پیدا ہو، جس کے علم و ہنر کی روشنی اپنے وطن کے تاریک گوشوں کو بھی منور کر سکے۔
