In VoIP, the number doesn’t prove who you are, it doesn't uniquely bind a session. In normal PSTN scenario, this would be like calling the same number while being on a call with that number already

Google Meet lets you call in with a phone number + PIN, I tried having @elevenlabs agents join this way. Turns out there’s no deduplication, you can place two outbound calls from the same number and get two separate instances of the same AI agent… talking to itself
