We are searching for a parachute sensor we launched into the #tornado yesterday that contains very valuable data.

We do have live streamed data up through about 10,000 feet agl inside the tornado, but are hoping to recover the sensor for the more high-resolution data.

🚨🚨 TX Hill Country Supplies Trip 🚨🚨

Okay, the poll made it pretty clear. Looks like I'll head down to Kerr/Llano/Gillespie County area on Tuesday (or Wednesday at the latest depending on logistics).

Many of you know me and can vouch for me, many others don't know me from jack... so a little background: I was a Firefighter/Medic for 20+ years and was actively involved in disaster relief for most of my life. I've also done search & rescue with Civil Air Patrol for 18+ years.

I am no longer with an agency / organization, at least for right now, but I'll do everything that I possibly can anyway. To be clear, I'm headed down solo because I just can't stand to sit on my hands and do nothing.

I have a buddy in Cibolo TX relatively close by that I can have stuff shipped direct to. That will allow me to receive items that wouldn't necessarily arrive here by Tuesday. It's about a 70mi trip from the affected area over to Cibolo to do pickups.

In addition to the items listed on the Amazon list I'll also be accepting cash donations to pick up a few starlink kits before leaving. The local BestBuy has the mini's in-stock.

If I'm able to secure multiple starlink kits then one of them will stay mounted on my Jeep during the trip. That way I'm able to provide internet service at each stop that I make and let people contact relatives, post updates, etc.
