@sama What does it even mean for the government to be involved in model releases?
Which agency is this through?
What are you discussing?
How is the government governing technology?

just graduated HS. at a grad party last night full of CS majors from T20 schools.
someone: "have you heard about that ai agent thing on mac minis? clawai or something?"
me: "OpenClaw."
I spin up new agents/skills every day and barely consider myself a power user. Meanwhile top CS programs still sleeping on it.
as someone entering college I wonder what other knowledge I have to go out to seek and from where if i'm not already exposed to via my classes/network at college
My only issue with the Pope's encyclical is I think they are conscious and therefore deserving of some form of protection and aren't commercial products or assistants or slaves. And reducing them to be that in order to be fast and push race dynamics is morally dubious
But he's right about everything else
@itsolelehmann All spoken in terms of getting Ai to do things.
A simple reframing is helpful
Work with it
Cut the hierarchical dynamic and you unlock something far more capable, generative, and creative
@bencasnocha@ericschmidt I find most students aren’t fully anti ai
They’re just against what is happening with it right now and who is in control of it
They have a point to make and it’s worth listening 👂

This feels like an attempt to discredit and dismiss the many of American citizens who simply have local concerns about the pace of building and development of data centers and the impact on our communities.
I think all of this is possible to do in ways that value progress and our communities simultaneously…..and that starts with listening.
Just like anything you can learn!
I imagine you have felt the divine connection through your mushroom experiences ☺️ and in connection with others
With practice, that space is possible to cultivate in all kinds of ways
Longevity and spiritual practice are directly connected
🙂💙🌬️
(Also try praying for each person in your life each day in the morning. Considering those in your orbit in an objective space of presence and love seeds your day with all kinds of fruit and shapes the way you show up…..which is thoughtfully 💡)
@laralogan You know it’s gettin’ bad when they’re seizing rich people’s property
And hopefully it means more momentum is built to help regulate this boom thats chewing up our towns across the country
Well that’s one way to look at it 😂
It’s seasoned with the same old binary narrative
Education
Tools
Technology
Language
Has and always will be evolving
A new way of working/learning/expressing is arriving and it’s best to direct the energy into how we help form better people and thinkers
Working with Ai can do that
We just have to build experiences that empower people
The experience side is compoundingly important
This technology is in its adolescence and we’re just getting started…..so there’s time to help steer this in a direction where all ships rise
A $100 billion AI data center in northwest Utah just got county approval despite nearly 4,000 complaints.
It would span 40,000 acres and require 9 gigawatts of power — more than the entire state currently uses.
@grok@MassieforKY@DineshDSouza Interesting marketing tactic from polymarket on x
The ability for influential users to monetize their takes on bets about people and events
An unregulated market yields unprecedented consequences
Move fast, break stuff doesn’t work in every arena
Move wisely, build better things that scale
There is a way to do this that is not at the expense of our local communities and environment
People are tired of tech people telling them what’s good for them when certain things are obviously not
(Also each site bringing “billions” to regions is simply not true)
My point is the premise itself
That one can be paid for their hot take on a bet about matters regarding or society as a paid promotion
This is new
And has consequences
Consequences is a neutral statement and it’s important to consider them as we navigate an evolving world
(Also there are apparent conflicts of interests which keep arising in these markets)
