I’m the world’s shittest runner and it hurts a lot but I’m getting fit for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and I’m trying hard! And I couldn’t walk at one point so LOOK HOW FAR WE’VE COME!

I’m going to keep doing shout outs for my Kilimanjaro challenge which I will be doing at the end of this year to raise funds for @bowelsofstmarks who gave me last option of surviving my stage 4 recurrent cancer.

St Mark’s Hospital Foundation raises vital funds for research, education and innovation at St Mark’s, the UK’s national bowel hospital.

It’s an epic challenge as I am missing all but one of my pelvic organs, part of my spine, spinal nerves, part of my pelvis bone, I have a stoma (for my 💩) and I self catheterise to empty my bladder as my bladder and ureter were operated on too. I don’t have feeling in a lot of my left leg due to the spinal nerves that were removed but I’m incredibly lucky to have the use of my left foot which we weren’t sure I would have.

My climbing buddy Scarlett and I have booked on for a mega practice walk this summer and looking to book on to a night hike too. We are determined to succeed in our challenge despite the physical challenges we face.
