A group of our S3 pupils are at Dyce Primary today to help promote the city libraries' Aberdeen Reads summer challenge. They have brought some props and have met Library Bear.
Did you know @PressReader is available to all Aberdeen City Libraries members and provides free access thousands of eMagazines and eNewspapers (including local papers The Press & Journal and Evening Express) on your computer or mobile device with the app.

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.

It was great to work with a group of @DyceAcadLibrary Reading Champions as they prepare to promote @silvercitylibs Aberdeen Reads Summer Challenge this year. The pupils will be awesome ambassadors.
Some P7s from Dyce Primary in for library enhanced transition activities. They did really well and found all the books. Time to get these and more back on the shelves.
We are proud to announce that ‘We Care’, a comic sharing Young Carers’ stories, thoughts and experiences, is now available for the public to read!

Physical copies will soon be available at Aberdeen City Libraries.
Do you know a young person with #YoungScotRewards points? Their points can be donated to help people in Syria & Turkey affected by the devastating earthquakes.
Donations will go to @DECScotland who are providing medical aid, shelter, blankets & food.

Why do books matter so much? Because books open our eyes & hearts & minds. They help us see & feel & experience the world from other points of view. They are the greatest EMPATHY ENGINES ever invented!
