@davemeltzerWON Also Dave: this one is more random. 1991-1996 really seemed to feature Brian Pillman and give him creative license. Curious about why he was so eager to leave, at that time? Was it just about collecting money from all the companies while he was injured?
@davemeltzerWON Hey Dave! Curious on your take: how and why did AEW miss on Danhausen? Is it their audience base or how they sructure their shows? Seems like the AEW audience woud have loved to spend merch money on Danhausen. Is it merchandise moving more for kids, which WWE has?
@davemeltzerWON Vince knew how clueless WCW was at this point. The Screwjob didn't need to happen. Also, Vince did an AOL Q&A a week later explaining why HE screwed Bret over. And this is before he realized he became the biggest heel in the business.
@davemeltzerWON But the fear couldn't have been that great; Vince is the one who wanted out of the deal. They could have paid Tyson & kept the Bret contract. Vince LOVED Shawn. & Vince had to know the screwjob wouldn't bury Bret. Hotlines, early 'net, wrestling fans were smart to everything in 97
@davemeltzerWON And how Bret had already met his contractually obligated dates, Bret had creative control of his booking for this very eventuality, and how would it have killed business to lose to Ken Shamrock on Raw? HHH is saying this because Bret called him out as a boring, hack talent.
@peterreckell So funny that Off Campus is the number one series in the world when this is a thousand times better on every level and it's not available for consumption. SO GOOD! 🏍️
@peterreckell Ok. We need to petition NBC and Corday to release these 80's Days and pay these actors handsomely. These scenes are cinema. I don't know if people appreciated how amazing this was at the time. This is better than most movies today! 💯
@peterreckell Whoa! That acting is so sharp. This is when soap operas were a whole genre of art. To this day, I'm convinced Peter and Wayne are brothers. The tension and love was all right there. So good!
