It categorizes business units into four types based on market share and growth rate:

These are your future cash cows. Keep investing.

💰 Cash Cows – Low growth, high market share.

They generate steady profits. Extract cash, but don’t overinvest.

❓ Question Marks – High growth, low market share.

Potential future stars - or expensive mistakes. Choose wisely.

🐶 Pets – Low growth, low market share.

They drain resources. Exit or pivot.

The best growth scenario? Avoid Pets.

A) Invest in promising Question Marks to increase market share.
