New report from @AmericanCancer “offered a rare bit of good news: the proportion of people who were alive at least five years after a cancer diagnosis hit a record high.”
Excellent news. Hopeful. Only made possible by research, science, and funding.
“People are living with metastatic cancer for years & years now. This has really been driven by research.” -ACS Chief Scientific Officer @billdahutmd to @sciam about @americancancer#Cancer Statistics Report 2026 and milestone 70% survival rate for cancer. https://t.co/Vgziubpoio
I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state.
We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service.
To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.
Barney Frank was one of a kind. For more than three decades in Congress, he fought tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts, helped make housing more affordable, stood up for the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans, and helped pass one of the most sweeping financial reforms in history designed to protect consumers and prevent another financial crisis. Barney’s passion and wit were second to none, and our thoughts are with his family today.
A Mayo Clinic-developed artificial intelligence (AI) model can help specialists detect pancreatic cancer on routine abdominal CT scans up to three years before clinical diagnosis. It identifies subtle signs of disease before tumors are visible, when curative treatment may still be possible. The findings, published in Gut, mark a milestone in Mayo Clinic's multiyear research effort to enable earlier detection of one of the deadliest cancers.

I wrote a little plea: please stop making a powerful housing coalition harder to achieve.
You're both right. And you don't need to put anyone down to be right. It's time to get in the big tent.

“Fundamentally the US hasn’t built enough homes to keep up with demand for about 15-years... We just aren’t building enough homes to keep up with population & job growth, especially in places where people most want to live.”

VICTORY: The Montana Supreme Court upheld the "Montana Miracle,” a landmark set of housing reforms that make it legal to build duplexes and ADUs across the state. This is a massive win for our clients and property owners all over Montana.
The Senate just passed the largest federal housing package in over a decade with overwhelming bipartisan support. This bill will build more homes, cut red tape, and modernize housing programs across the country.
I co-sponsored a key provision in this bill that will put an additional $4 billion toward building affordable housing — bringing us one step closer to making homeownership possible for working families across Colorado.
Honored to welcome Habitat for Humanity Chapters from across the state (@HabitatColorado) to our State Capitol! Their work building homes, communities, and hope across the region makes a real difference for Colorado families.
I'm working at a coffee shop today and am currently watching an older gentleman read the print edition of the Wall Street Journal and mark each story with a checkmark after he finishes it. Long live print
