Greetings from the International Conference on Synthesis, Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Methods, and Applications to Circuit Design 2022, Villasimius, Sardinia. After three year of online conferences, we are happy to present our research results in person again.

We certainly will miss the time we spend over the past year, even though most of it was quite stressful. We had a lot of joy working together, brainstorming and troubleshooting, but for now, we want to thank everyone who joined us on our journey over the past few months!
Today, after 13 months of hard work, we were finally able to present our amplifier. Although we had a lot of problems to deal with over the past few months, we were able to make some noise.
This might be the last time the SKIP team as a whole came together, but something tells me that this won't be the last time the amplifier will be worked on.
We still have a lot of potential buried in our amplifier, waiting to be unleashed.
Today was an exciting day. We had a lot to check before firing up our amplifier for the first time. Found some minor problems on the way, which were solved quite easily. A lot of precaution and testing payed out in the end..
Huge milestone achieved today!
So far, the first basic tests of our ASIC were successful. We will be spending the next weeks characterizing and testing everything we implemented.

The last day in the lab for this year: #Troubleshooting the overload protection.
We accidently swapped two pins of a SOT23-3 BJT. It took us some time to find out, but the fix is very simple:
Just solder it in upside down. No one ever will notice 🤫😏
Ever wondered how an impedance curve of an PA speaker looks like?
We took the time to measure our HK Audio PR:O 12 speaker wirh an nominal impedance of 8 Ohm. You can clearly see the resonance frequencies of the build in filters. At the lowest point, the impedance is 7.4 Ohm.
Today we tested our preamp and active filtering using a Red Pitaya @RedPitayaCom as a bode plotter and spectrum analyzer.
The results surpassed our expecations - practically identical as simulated.
Currently calculating our SINAD and #THD. Seems to a LOT better than anticipated!
It's the first day in the #Lab. Our power supply is up and running just as expected! First noise measurements seem to be in line with expectations, final measurements will be made once everything else is up and running.
Tomorrow we will look at the performance of our #preamp
@askLorandt@we_online We're aiming towards a SNR of ~60dB. Our focus is more in power than high fidelity. Previous projects like @AMSEL_Amplifier managed to pull of better fidelity perfomance with the use of an ADSM instead of classical PWM.
@askLorandt@we_online DC/DC modules are first order filtered before powering the devices. Current results show a powersupply noisefloor in the ballpark of -70dB with the highest switching peak at -48dB. PSRR of our logic is roughly -60 to -80dB.
