@jorfleming1818 I have used email to communicate. However, I am going to send out a monthy newsletter using smores or Canva soon to allow for quick and easier interaction with families. They can access resources for them and their scholars in one link/website to make it simple! #wuedt6020
@McaseyTR6 My school has not been able to go to their annual Holocaust Museum Trip. I utilize the Virtual Museum with students. They were left wanting more interactive and modern features. I think it is valuable to see these things, but making it more engaging will be viable! #wuedt6020
@ldlred4 My "Go-To" is Nearpod! I can upload Google Slides as a lecture or picture series. I can control student screens or let them work independently. The VR tools are great to help with historical context. I can also do collaborative discussions and quick formative checks #wuedt6020
@emily_osterman1@KFranklin923 I love this idea! What I would find helpful too if they educators themselves had a pen pal type of program with other teachers who are in the same content area. Seeing what other people teach and building a network could do a lot for the educator community! #wuedt6020
@Ms_VPalmer@KFranklin923 My school does this too! The school reposts pictures made by sports and club accounts to boost school pride. Students love to be tagged in them, and so do their parents/guardians, and they end up reposting as well! It definitely helps with community school spirit! #wuedt6020
@KFranklin923 My school uses #Remind to post announcements Students can also ask questions to their teachers as well. They love to text! When learning about another country, it's helpful to see pictures of that location today to also examine their values as a culture. #wuedt6020
@AdamsEmilylynn@KFranklin923 Hi Emily! I would love to touch base with you about the use of AI in the classroom. I am still trying to learn it myself and I have heard that the students do like using it. What are your recommendations? #wuedt6020
@sbantom001@KFranklin923 Hi! My students enjoy Kahoot! I would also recommend looking at GimKit. My students love it! It's like Kahoot on steroids. Students still answer questions, but they can battle each other and buy power-ups! A more interactive and engaging Kahoot, in my opinion :) #wuedt6020
@KFranklin923 One trend that I would like to integrate is AI. AI, like ChatGpt, is becoming increasingly popular and accessible. I want to implement everyday AI functions while still fostering independent and creative thought from students. Using AI as a support, not a crutch! #wuedt6020
