@CAgovernor Balanced budget. Record-high taxes. Housing still unaffordable. Businesses and residents still leaving. Californians will judge by results, not budget press releases."
@GavinNewsom If the system is broken, why has California—under your leadership—become one of the most expensive places to live? Families are leaving, businesses are relocating, and the cost of housing, energy, and basic necessities keeps rising.
@think2win The problem is you're using yesterday's data to argue about today's reality. Youth sports and recruiting don't look anything like they did then.
This is like using Blockbuster data to explain Netflix. The recruiting world has evolved
@GavinNewsom Interesting timing. Two days after a shooter opened fire at a library in Chico, we're still pretending criminals check California gun laws before pulling the trigger.
Law-abiding citizens aren't the ones terrorizing communities. The people willing to shoot up a library are
@daltonkf68@BallCoachNelson If JUCO is suddenly the golden ticket, why are D1 coaches still handing out scholarships & NIL to high school prospects?
Because recruiting isn't as simple as "older = better."
@CoachBeede@dec47244@JLeroux33 That’s what I’m saying the athlete will be 19 at the start of their senior season the clock starts the following fall academic year correct?
@latsondheimer The word isn’t the problem. The standard people use it for is. “Elite” didn’t get watered down by recruiting sites—it got watered down by people calling anything above average ‘elite’ because they want every good player to sound special.
@wilfleming It mostly just resets eligibility rules; it doesn’t magically change when a kid is ready for the next step. The idea that there was some widespread, strategic “advantage system” that just got shut off is more narrative than evidence.
@dec47244@JLeroux33@CoachBeede So if an athlete turns 19 in June prior to their senior season of high school their eligibility clock starts August/September? Correct?
@psudel1@American_Dad_NW@ImCollegeSoccer Exactly! The new shape of NCAA D1 sports just made D2 jump levels with talent. Here in CA many athletes are committing to D2 early.
@Rooftoprogue@ChiodiniMike@ImCollegeSoccer Recent discussions indicate the NCAA may modify the 5 for 5 eligibility rule so the clock starts at either college enrollment or the season after turning 19, whichever comes first, partly to address concerns involving international athletes.
@AdamNMayer@Maryee Arnold was a naturalized citizen since 83 before he became governor. Hilton citizen for 5 years. Doesn’t matter this polls are bought and paid for by democrats. Bianco will pull it off 🇺🇸
