@BenPax_XIII@Techjunkie_Aman Yep, runs on Arch, CachyOS included. It's a single portable AppImage, no account, no setup. Whenever you're free, give it a spin and let me know what you think.
Ha, fair to wonder. AI-assisted, for sure, but there's a real difference between "AI, make me an app" and using it to build exactly what you intend, then testing, securing, and reviewing every release. It's fully open source, so you don't have to take my word for it, read the code. If it were vibe-coded, the source would give it away.
@rajbir_biswas@Techjunkie_Aman Correct, just download, install or run portable, paste link/s and then you can download, try it out, and let me know what you think!
Honestly, you just described exactly who I made it for.
No account, no setup, nothing to configure. Download, open, paste a link, done. That's the entire experience.
If you do give it a try, I'd love to know whether it actually feels as simple as I'm claiming, and if it doesn't, tell me where it fell short. No pressure either way, there's nothing to sign up for and nothing to commit to. Thanks!
@Techjunkie_Aman Direct downloads per platform:
Windows/Portable: https://t.co/LWnEh2zyhS
macOS: https://t.co/4W7YEB2Md5
Linux: https://t.co/D5xzMfBLVm
Pages have fun themes to match their platforms 🫡😎
And that is exactly why I wanted to create this, core function, but more accessible for everyone. Just install and go, with customizable options, easy way to update plugins, and advanced options for those who want them.
Always privacy and security first. I hope you enjoy, share it with your friends!
Exactly right. ReClip solved the technical problem, I'm just trying to solve the usability one.
Honestly, you put it better than my own README. "Same privacy, none of the setup" is the whole thing.
ReClip's still the move for the homelab crowd, I just wanted a door in for everyone else.
No apology needed, you covered it well. It's grown fast.
And you're right about the space: simple, fast, private is the whole bet.
For v1.1 it's Subscriptions, easily. You follow your favorite channels right in the app and pull their new uploads in a click, video or audio, into folders you pick.
The part I'm personally most excited about: it's subscriptions without the account. No login, no algorithm, no tracking. Your channels live on your machine, not in a profile someone's monetizing. That's the version of "subscribe" I actually wanted to build.
Great question, and you kind of already answered it.
ReClip nailed the local-first, yt-dlp idea (genuinely my inspiration). The one barrier is it's self-hosted: clone, install deps, run a server, hit localhost. EGM packages all of that into a normal desktop app, one download, runtime bundled, signed auto-updates, no Docker, no terminal.
It just works.
Same privacy, none of the setup, plus things like download history, cookies support, themes and Subscriptions (landing in v1.1) that are easier to build into an app you actually install.
@jnelsoninjax@Techjunkie_Aman Hi, my project is an inspiration from ReClip, I build it from the ground up to make it simpler for users, and added more features. Feel free to try it out, and let me know what you think, thanks!
This might be the cleanest video downloader I've seen in years.
EGM Downloader supports:
• 1000+ websites
• Up to 8K video quality
• FLAC audio downloads
• Playlist downloads
• Batch processing
• Subtitle embedding
• Download history
• Custom file naming
But that's not what makes it interesting.
The app runs entirely on your computer.
No accounts.
No analytics.
No tracking.
No cloud processing.
Just a fast, open-source downloader powered by yt-dlp.
And somehow it still includes 400 customizable themes.
Watch the full video for a complete setup guide and feature breakdown.
Could this replace your current downloader?
Wrath Of The Machine was released 7 years ago today.
IMO, the best raid experience so far.
Here's a "full" unedited run, starting from the second encounter. This is the 390 Age of Triumph version, with all challenges.
