This powerful letter to the editor from a Scottsdale resident echoes what I’m hearing across the city: we’re being flooded with well-funded special interest attacks against @BobLittlefield, @MichelleUgenti, and me — the only candidates who opposed Axon’s high-density campus and fought to protect the 26,000-signature referendum on their apartments.
Axon-linked "Better Together" is pouring huge sums — funneled through a DC Super PAC — to silence the only voices willing to tell them “NO” and elect rubber-stamp loyalists instead. 💰💰💰
#Scottsdale residents! Be sure to vote carefully and CORRECTLY if you don't want @AxonOfficial to turn our city into an LA of apartments! Vote @BarrySGraham@MichelleUgenti and @BobLittlefield the only candidates who will stand up for YOUR interests. Let's tell AXON where to go!
Early voting is underway — and @anneryman with @abc15 just exposed how Axon's front group 'Better Together' is blanketing Scottsdale with propaganda to buy the City Council election. 📢
Axon's apartment developers are on track to spend record money in a Scottsdale City Council race. Why? They want to aggressively upzone their massive apartment campus from 1,200 dense units to 2,500 or more — they just need to help elect their rubber-stamp loyalists to do it. 💰💰💰
This is bigger than one development — Scottsdale’s independence is on the line.
More coverage of the massive election spending by Axon’s front group “Better Together." 📰🗞️
The Scottsdale Progress details how Axon execs are pouring money into their front groups to attack the only three candidates standing up to their aggressive high-density takeover: @BobLittlefield, @MichelleUgenti, and me.
While the article doesn’t mention it, Axon CEO Rick Smith recently circulated a “pro-growth" secret slate — Solange Whitehead, Ethan Knowlden, and Eric Sloan.
Axon originally asked for 2,550 apartments. Thanks to Solange Whitehead, they already have approval for 1,200 — and I believe they’ll double that if they can silence the only voices willing to tell them "no."
Don't let @Solange4AZ turn #Scottsdale into Los Angeles!! Say SO LONG SOLANGE and VOTE HER OUT. The RESIDENT-FRIENDLY slate is Littlefield / Graham / Ugenti-Rita. https://t.co/86weNL72Qw
Today, @BobLittlefield, @MichelleUgenti and I sent an open letter to the Board of Directors of Axon Enterprise.
While we have consistently supported keeping Axon’s headquarters in Scottsdale, we are deeply concerned about what appears to be direct intervention by senior company executives in the 2026 Scottsdale City Council election through significant PAC spending timed just before ballots begin mailing.

Even after Councilwoman Solange Whitehead voted for Axon’s 1,900 apartments and their 1,200 dense units—Axon still wants to double or more that massive buildout.
If they can defeat those of us willing to say “NO," they’ll never hear “NO” from City Council again.
This isn’t just about one development—An Axon takeover means future City Councils will have to get permission from Axon before making major decisions. Every Scottsdale resident, neighborhood group, business, and nonprofit needs to understand what’s at stake: our city’s independence.

@A_Shaggleford@JanDubauskas@ScottsdaleVoter And score one for everyone who rents from "rich people" landlords. Their property tax increases are passed through in the rental rates.
@achase1963@JanDubauskas You do realize that your rent is affected by your landlord's property tax rate, don't you? Or are you still living with your parents?
Thank you #Scottsdale councilman @BarrySGraham for preventing another liberal increase from being rammed down our throats! You are Residents' and Taxpayers' best friend on council! https://t.co/lcJJ8E4svt
I'm honored to receive the endorsement of the Arizona Freedom Club PAC, the political affiliate of the Arizona Free Enterprise Club—one of Arizona's largest grassroots conservative organizations. 🗽❤️
As a conservative who puts Scottsdale taxpayers first, I’m proud to have their strong support as I run for re-election to the City Council.🏜️
Resident Max recently asked for clarity on Scottsdale’s Advanced Purified Recycled Water (APRW) program, also known as “toilet to tap.” Attached is my reply.
As I told Max, I remain concerned about Councilwoman Solange Whitehead pressuring water administrators to fast-track this experimental and expensive program. I’m also troubled that she continues to foment fear, suggesting residents’ taps may run dry if they don’t vote for her.
It’s time to get politics out of our city’s long-term, thoughtful water planning.💧🏜️
