I can’t with this Jalen Hurts discussion that Nate Tice is trying to drive at. Does Jalen Hurts have limitations? Yes, so does basically every quarterback if you want to nitpick at stuff.

You coach to your players strengths. EPA passing game for Jalen Hurts lead offenses are over the years (13th, 7th, 10th, 6th, 14th). When they have a competent play caller in the league they have been a top 7 passing attack and they go to a Super Bowl. Those compete play callers got fired after one year working with the golden boy Justin Herbert and had a collapse that was starting with everyone’s new favorite QB for four weeks Daniel Jones.

On a value level when comparing to every QB in the league using EPA, Strength of Opponents, and ratings that have a minimum of 300 dropbacks this year, Jalen Hurts is still the 9th best quarterback in the league. Sandwiched in between Patrick Mahomes and Caleb Williams. And that’s on a down year…

The offense is extremely frustrating, but you can’t tell me that’s all a leading factor from just the quarterback. Receivers dropping balls, offensive line playing like shit, run game being nonexistent… Have watched Jalen play some incredible games as a quarterback. He’s clearly not the issue.

Don’t want to hear shit from the couch QB coaches that have a podcast and a name that people sort of know because of their Dad and Uncle were somewhat relevant in this sport a decade+ ago.
